Synopsis
The 2nd in a competition for art in public space for the central police office in Potsdam.
The project proposes an suggestive intervention in placing several different trompe l’oeuil service trap doors onto the ceiling. While they don’t actually lead anywhere, they slightly open into an illusionist painting of a hidden corridor.
They are conceived with different colours in the openings, and talk about the myriads of movies where the villains or the innocent escape through trap doors and through the service corridors.
This day dream moment is for the public administration people as well as for the people visiting for one reason or the other the police centre.

Technical details
Service trap doors, illusionistic painting on wood, screwed to the ceiling
